Golden Wildcat Reunion Slated Homecoming Weekend, Oct. 10-13

Golden Wildcat Society Reunion dates set for October.

LEXINGTON, Ky. ( Sept. 25, 2019)  The University of Kentucky Class of 1969 will return to campus for the annual Golden Wildcat Society Reunion Oct. 10-13 during Homecoming Weekend. 

The festivities begin Thursday, Oct. 10, with registration from noon-5 p.m., at The Campbell House Lexington, located at 1375 S. Broadway, and an early bird campus tour from 3-4:30 p.m. leaving from The Campbell House. The Golden Wildcat Society Reunion Welcome Reception is from 5-7 p.m. at The Campbell House.

On Oct. 11, the Golden Wildcat Society Induction Breakfast is from 8-10 a.m. at Kroger Field’s Woodford Reserve Club, followed by racing and lunch at the Keeneland Phoenix Room from noon-5 p.m.

The Lyman T. Johnson Torch of Excellence Awards Lunch is at noon Friday, Oct. 11, at the Gatton Student Center. The awards luncheon is part of UK’s 70 Years of Integration commemoration. Big Blue Madness is at 7 p.m. at Rupp Arena and the NPHC Step Show is at 8:30 p.m. at the Gatton Student Center.

On Saturday, Oct. 12, the UK Alumni Association Homecoming Brunch is at 9:30 a.m. at King Alumni House, located at 400 Rose St. A campus bus tour departs from King Alumni House at 11 a.m. The UK Alumni Association Homecoming Tailgate Tent Party at the Kentucky Tobacco Research and Development Lawn, located at 1401 University Drive, begins 2 1/2 hours before UK’s Homecoming game against University of Arkansas. Alumni and friends are encouraged to register at www.ukalumni.net/homecoming.

A farewell breakfast for Golden Wildcat Society attendees will be from 8 to 10 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 13, at The Campbell House Lexington.
