Next UK Lunch and Learn Event is on Feb. 7
LEXINGTON, Ky. (Jan. 30, 2018) — The Von Allmen Center for Entrepreneurship, part of the University of Kentucky Gatton College of Business and Economics, presents another in its popular Lunch and Learn Series with a program from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 7, in Woodward Hall, Room 307 in the Gatton College building.
“What’s It All About? Working for a Tech StartUp” will feature a panel of current Gatton students and a recent UK graduate.
Nate Antetomaso, T.J. Barnett and Michael Lewis will talk about their individual journeys and taking a "leap of faith" to work for one of Lexington’s up-and-coming tech startups, Fooji.
Fooji was co-founded by UK Gatton grad Gregg Morton.
Doors open at 11:30 a.m. Lunch will be provided by Limestone Pizza.
You must RSVP to reserve a spot. The registration site can be found at www.eventbrite.com/e/lunch-and-learn-whats-it-all-about-working-for-a-tech-startup-tickets-42016206605.
"The Lunch and Learn programs are a great opportunity for UK students, staff, faculty and community members to learn more about the Lexington startup scene,” said Mariam Gorjian, commercialization specialist in the Von Allmen Center. “At this event, we will have three UK students discuss what it’s like to work for a Lexington-based company, and why they decided to stay close to home instead of heading out to the West Coast.”
