Tickets on Sale as UK Softball Hosts NCAA Regional This Weekend
LEXINGTON, Ky. (May 16, 2018) — For the 10th consecutive year, the University of Kentucky softball team has earned a berth in the NCAA Championship Tournament and will be hosting a four-team regional this weekend at John Cropp Stadium on the UK campus.
All-session tickets went on sale earlier this week exclusively online via www.UKathletics.com/NCAATickets. Single-session tickets will go on sale 9 a.m. ET today (Wednesday, May 16), based on availability.
The schedule of games in the double-elimination Lexington Regional is as follows, with each team’s overall record in parentheses:
Friday, May 18
Game 1 – University of Notre Dame (32-21) vs. University of Michigan (43-11), Noon ET
Game 2 – University of Illinois at Chicago (33-19) vs. Kentucky (31-19), 2:30 p.m. ET
Saturday, May 19
Game 3 – Winner Game 1 vs. Winner Game 2, Noon ET
Game 4 – Loser Game 1 vs. Loser Game 2, 2:30 p.m. ET
Game 5 – Loser Game 3 vs. Winner Game 4, 5 p.m. ET
Sunday, May 20
Game 6 – Winner Game 3 vs. Winner Game 5, Noon ET
Game 7 – (If necessary), 2:30 p.m. ET
The winner of the regional advances to the Super Regionals next weekend where a total of 16 teams will battle it out for the right to advance to the College Softball World Series. Head Coach Rachel Lawson’s Wildcats were one of the eight teams who made it to the NCAA Softball World Series in 2014.
