Venture Studio Hosting 'Lunch and Learn' Jan. 27
LEXINGTON, Ky. (Jan. 14, 2016) — The UK Venture Studio, which is a part of the Von Allmen Center for Entrepreneurship and Lexington ICC in the Gatton College of Business and Economics at the University of Kentucky, is hosting a campuswide pizza 'lunch and learn' with entrepreneurial mentors from the greater Lexington area Wednesday, Jan. 27.
This event is free and will be held from noon to 1:30 p.m. in Venture Studio, Room 124 of the new Gatton College building. Seating is limited and you must register in advance. RSVP here.
The Von Allmen Center is looking to engage students and faculty in learning more about the UK Venture Studio and the various entrepreneurial activities happening throughout Lexington in 2016. The mentor guest panel includes Brian Luftman, a Lexington angel investor and business owner; David Goodnight, a Lexington angel investor and former vice president at Lexmark; Vesta Brue, a Lexington angel investor and biotech business owner; and, Matt Craft, a Lexington business owner.
"We’re excited about using Venture Studio to showcase the resources available for people in all disciplines across campus to get engaged with the entrepreneurial community. This is open to all UK students and faculty, and we feel it’s a good way to kick off a new year. We’ll be discussing the upcoming 2016 calendar of events, there will be pizza and sodas, networking, and a Q&A session with the panel," said Mariam Gorjian, commercialization specialist at the Von Allmen Center. "There will be lots of great energy in the room, so we hope people will help get the word out and not miss this opportunity to meet the mentors."
Advance registration is required. RSVP here.
