LEXINGTON, Ky. (Nov. 16, 2009) – The public will have the opportunity to see natural color diamond jewelry and benefit Kentucky Children's Hospital through The Makenna Foundation. A launch party will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Nov. 24 at St John & Myers Jewelry Salon, 4379 Old Harrodsburg Road, Suite 150 at South Elkhorn Village in Lexington.

Funds from the event are designated for the new Makenna David Pediatric Emergency Center, a facility that is allowing children to be treated as children.

"Children deserve the best facility that we as a community can possibly provide," said Sheila David, executive director of The Makenna Foundation. “Our Kentucky Children's Hospital cares for all children across Kentucky."

"We appreciate the support of Olivia and Louis Scholz through St. John & Myers" said Mark Slover, director of major gifts and development at Kentucky Children's Hospital. "Our partnership with the Makenna Foundation is so important to us and it's good to have the efforts of the Scholzs on both of our behalves."

For those who cannot attend the launch party, they can visit the salon Nov. 25, 27 or 28 to view the Natural Color Diamond collection before it leaves.
