UK HealthCare opens 2nd Interventional Pain Medicine location
LEXINGTON, Ky. (April 22, 2024) — To better serve a wider population of patients, providers and staff of UK HealthCare’s Interventional Pain Medicine services opened a new clinic at Good Samaritan Hospital Monday.
The new space is located at 310 S. Limestone, Suite A102 in Good Samaritan Hospital. The clinic entrance is located to the right of the Emergency Room.
The expansion will give more patients with chronic pain access to cutting-edge treatment that can limit the frequency and severity of pain brought on by cancer, spine and skeletal disorders and other conditions.
“The Interventional Pain Medicine at Good Samaritan Hospital is a result of growth in comprehensive pain services currently provided at Kentucky Clinic South,” said Michael Harned, M.D., medical director of Interventional Pain Medicine. “With the new expansion, Interventional Pain Medicine can now serve a greater population of patients and is strategically located to support other UK HealthCare service lines.”
UK’s Interventional Pain Medicine group includes a team of nationally recognized doctors who treat acute and chronic pain while minimizing the need for medication.

The Good Samaritan location will not replace Interventional Pain Medicine at Kentucky Clinic South. Current patients will continue to be seen at that location.
Brock Marrs, M.D., will now see patients at the new location but will no longer see patients at Kentucky Clinic South or Cardinal Hill Rehabilitation Hospital.
Appointments for the Interventional Pain Medicine clinics are made by referral. Talk to your health care provider about making an appointment.
