WUKY Needs Volunteers for Pledge Drive

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Feb. 21, 2011) - WUKY, the University of Kentucky's National Public Radio station has issued the following request for its upcoming pledge drive:

WUKY is in need of volunteers to answer phones during our Spring Pledge Drive Thursday, Feb. 24 through Friday, March 4. Volunteers are needed to work shifts from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.

We need groups, organizations and individuals who are willing to answer calls and take pledges from our listeners. UK offices or departments that want to volunteer as a group will be recognized on the air for your generosity.

WUKY is located on the third floor of McVey Hall in the heart of UK's campus. If you have questions or want to sign up to volunteer, call 257-3272 and ask for Robert Hansel or e-mail him at Robert.hansel@uky.edu.

Shifts available include --

 

-- Thursday, Feb. 24, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.

-- Friday, Feb. 25, 10 a.m.-1 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.

-- Saturday, Feb. 26, 10 a.m.-9 p.m.

-- Sunday, Feb 27, 8 a.m.-9 p.m.

-- Tuesday, March 1, 6 a.m.-1 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.

-- Wednesday, March 2, 10 a.m.-1 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.
