Faculty Trustee Candidates Narrowed to Three

LEXINGTON, Ky, (Feb. 7, 2012) ― The first round of voting for the vacant University of Kentucky faculty trustee position has resulted in John Wilson of the College of Medicine, Sheldon Steiner of the College of Arts and Sciences, and Terry Conners of the College of Agriculture advancing in the election.  The results are:

John Wilson, 453 votes

Sheldon Steiner, 305 votes

Terry Conners, 150 votes

Donna Smith, 106 votes

Voting in the second and final round of the election will begin later this week.

This election is to fill the remaining term of Joe Peek who resigned from the Board of Trustees upon taking another position outside the university.  This term runs through June 30, 2013.
