Want to Star in 'The Pajama Game'?

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Nov. 30, 2009) − Have you dreamed of performing on stage in an award-winning musical? If you are an aspiring actor or actress, don't miss your chance to audition for the University of Kentucky Department of Theatre's production of "The Pajama Game" this week at Guignol Theatre.

Auditions for "The Pajama Game" will be held from 7 to 10 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 2, in the Guignol Theatre. All interested in auditioning need to be at the theatre by 7 p.m. for a group dance audition. Individual auditions begin at 7:30 p.m. Students should have a one-minute monologue and one song (32 bars) prepared. Callbacks for the auditions will be held from 7 to 10 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 3, in Guignol.

Any UK student is allowed and encouraged to audition for "The Pajama Game." Rehearsals for this production will be announced at a later date. 

The romantic musical comedy, "The Pajama Game," adapted by Richard Bissell’s novel with music and lyrics by Richard Adler and Jerry Ross, will close the 2009-2010 main stage season from UK Theatre. The fast-paced, Tony award-winning Broadway hit will run April 15-17 and 22-25, 2010.
