No Parking on University Drive Oct. 3-6

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Oct. 2, 2009) -- Due to the football game and street paving, no parking on University Drive will be permitted from Saturday, Oct. 3 through Tuesday, Oct. 6. Anyone with a valid E permit or Motorcycle (M) permit who normally parks in these spaces will need to park in another E lot or structure or M space. Also, the metered spaces on University Drive will not be available during this project.

During these two days of paving, University Drive will be open to vehicle traffic in both directions, but bicycle lanes will be closed. Pedestrian walkways will not be affected. Motorists are encouraged to use caution in the area. Construction flaggers will be present to assist with traffic control and pedestrian crossings.

This project is expected to take two days, with the paving occurring at night. However, as always, construction work is weather-dependent and the timetable is subject to change. Employees and students should plan accordingly and allow extra time for arriving to work or class.
