'Behind the Blue': Gratitude (and Gravy)
LEXINGTON, Ky. (Nov. 30, 2021) — Last week in the United States we celebrated the national holiday of Thanksgiving. Once again, we thought it would be a good time to take stock of the things we may have in our lives to be thankful for.
On this episode of "Behind the Blue," we spent some time ahead of Thanksgiving in both the Gatton Student Center on campus, as well as via Zoom, talking with students and staff about being back in an in-person setting on campus, the people in their lives they’re grateful for, and also learning about some of their favorite Thanksgiving foods and traditions.
Enjoy this short episode, and we hope that you might also have an opportunity to reflect on things you’re thankful for, as well as traditions that are unique and special for you and yours.

As the state’s flagship, land-grant institution, the University of Kentucky exists to advance the Commonwealth. We do that by preparing the next generation of leaders — placing students at the heart of everything we do — and transforming the lives of Kentuckians through education, research and creative work, service and health care. We pride ourselves on being a catalyst for breakthroughs and a force for healing, a place where ingenuity unfolds. It's all made possible by our people — visionaries, disruptors and pioneers — who make up 200 academic programs, a $476.5 million research and development enterprise and a world-class medical center, all on one campus.
