Evening MBA Program Ranked by U.S. News

LEXINGTON, Ky. (April 15, 2010) – The Evening MBA program at the University of Kentucky's Gatton College of Business and Economics is nationally ranked among part-time MBA programs in the 2011 edition of "Best Graduate Schools," published by the editors of U.S. News and World Report.

Gatton's evening program is tied for 51st in the rankings published today by the weekly news magazine.

U.S. News's new part-time MBA ratings are based on a fall 2009 peer assessment survey that asked business school deans and MBA program directors at each of the nation's 314 part-time MBA programs to rate all of the other programs on a specified point scale.

"We are thrilled to be recognized by U.S. News as a top MBA program," said Mary Lee Kerr, director of MBA programs for the Gatton College.

D. Sudharshan, dean of the Gatton College, added, "We are confident that as we continue to add innovation and value to all of our programs in the college that greater national recognition will follow. Our students are more than competitive with the best in this country, and in the world."

In addition to the evening program, Gatton offers its highly regarded, immersive One-Year MBA program, where students complete an intensive 11 months of study while working on real-world projects with companies.

This is the first year the UK Evening MBA program has appeared in the rankings. UK has several other graduate programs that are consistently ranked among the best in the nation. Many of these are unchanged from last year, because U.S. News does not re-evaluate the same categories every year.
