LEXINGTON, Ky. (Aug. 14, 2018) — "What did you do on your summer vacation?" It's a question we've asked (and answered) since elementary school.

Sure, many of us travel or take some time off to enjoy the warmer weather.

But in reality, when you're part of the University of Kentucky, you don't stop just because spring turns to summer. We are all working, teaching, studying, making discoveries and healing, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

That's why, over the next few days, the daily UKNow email, along with our social media channels, will highlight the ways in which people from across campus have worked to keep the university's momentum going strong throughout the summer:

  • See what goes into making a transformed campus ready to welcome new Wildcats.
  • Discover the unique methods faculty and staff utilized to forge ahead on vital research projects.
  • Learn how students gained valuable career experience across the country and around the world.
  • Explore why members of the UK Family decided to give back in service to our community.
