WUKY Puts Local Performances on Airwaves

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Oct. 19, 2009) -- WUKY 91.3 FM, the University of Kentucky's public radio station, is bringing the musical acts appearing at Natasha's Bar and Bistro in Lexington to the air waves. 

The first band performance broadcast was that of Wishing Chair on Oct. 12. The next band to be featured is local favorite The Bats, and its show will be broadcast on WUKY at 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 26.

Several acts including, Carla Gover, Johnson Brothers, Punch Brothers and Sara Watkins will be broadcast throughout October and November. The shows will air uninterrupted exclusively for WUKY listeners.  

 

Natasha’s Bar and Bistro is an arts and entertainment restaurant in downtown Lexington combining contemporary dining with a lively venue of theater and music.
