UK Alumni Association to host Member Appreciation Week Feb. 19-23
LEXINGTON, Ky. (Feb. 14, 2024) — The UK Alumni Association will celebrate its members during Member Appreciation Week Feb. 19-23, held in conjunction with University of Kentucky Founders Day on Feb. 22.
Throughout the week, Members (those who have completed at least 12 credit hours at UK), Active Members and Life Members can indulge in a range of activities and exclusive perks, including a chance to register for the UK Alumni Association’s Double the Fun Sweepstakes, featuring two gift packages.
- UK Baseball Fun Pack. This package includes four club-level tickets with access to the Lexus Lounge at the UK baseball game vs. Florida at Kentucky Proud Park on Saturday, May 11. The winner will also receive a Yeti tailgate cooler packed full of UK swag.
- Pampered Cats Package. This package includes a Kendra Scott Color Bar Party for three or more people, a Kyle Cavan gift card, a gift card to Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa, and a gift card valid at any restaurant owned by UK alumna and chef Ouita Michel.
Members can register online to win one or both sweepstakes packages and earn additional entries by checking their email and following the UK Alumni Association on social media. The winners will be notified at the end of Member Appreciation Week on Feb. 23.

Monday, Feb. 19
- Discount Day: Gear up with exclusive savings at the UK Alumni Gear Pop Up Shop, from M. LaHart, Kyle Cavan and the UK Bookstore. Members will receive a promotional code and further details via email.

Tuesday, Feb. 20
· Spin the Wildcat Wheel O’ Fun: Eligible members can spin a virtual prize wheel for a chance to win UK swag. Details will be emailed to those eligible.

Wednesday, Feb. 21
· Member Match Mania: Life and Active Members can play the virtual game Member Match Mania for a chance to win a $250 gift card from M. LaHart. Eligible participants will receive more information via email.

Thursday, Feb. 22
- UK Founders Day Festival: The campus community is invited to the third annual UK Founders Day Festival at the Gatton Student Center from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The festival will include games, prizes, giveaways, snacks and music to celebrate UK’s 159th birthday.

Friday, Feb. 23

Members of the UK Alumni Association are defined as follows:
- Life Members are those who have purchased a Life Membership.
- Active Members are those who have given $75 or more cumulatively to any UK funds annually.
- Recent Graduate Active Members are those who have completed their first UK degree within the last five years and given $25 or more cumulatively to any UK funds annually.
- Student Active Members are those who have given $25 or more cumulatively to any UK funds annually.
- Members are those who have completed at least 12 credit hours at UK.
