The University of Kentucky's Newsroom Goes Online

LEXINGTON, Ky. (April 29, 2011) − Members of the media are encouraged to follow www.twitter.com/UKnewsroom  to access the latest information about the University of Kentucky.

"We hope this Twitter account becomes a resource for all media and another way to get the information that they need as quickly as possible," said Jay Blanton, UK Public Relations and Marketing executive director. "Our goal is not only to provide information quickly, but also to build relationships with journalists online."

Information published on this Twitter account includes links to media advisories, press releases, emergency announcements, photos, audio, videos, and more. The account is managed by UK's Office of Public Relations and Marketing.
