SGA Offering Internship Funding

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Oct. 3, 2017) — The University of Kentucky Student Government Association (UKSGA) is now offering funding for governmental internships. Any student interning in Washington, D.C., or Frankfort, Kentucky, is eligible for the funding that will help cover the cost of living.

Eligible students can send their resume, cover letter, a letter of recommendation from their internship supervisor, and a proposed budget to Michael Regard, director of Government Relations at government@uksga.org.

“Interning in Washington, D.C., and Frankfort are some of the best ways for students to see the governmental process firsthand, offering unparalleled political experiences and numerous professional connections. UKSGA is proud to offer retrospective funding to alleviate financial burden for UK students,” said Michael Regard, director of Government Relations.

The application deadline is midnight, Oct. 9. Applicants will be notified regarding their application status by Oct. 16.
