SPSS and AMOS Users: Time to Renew Software License
LEXINGTON, Ky. (Aug. 6, 2012) — University of Kentucky faculty, staff and students who use IBM's SPSS and AMOS software are advised that the new license year began July 1.
Members of the campus community who wish to continue using this software during 2012-2013, may re-register at any time to receive license renewal codes via email. There is no deadline for registration, and the service is available year round.
UK Information Technology asks that SPSS 19 users upgrade to SPSS 20 at this time. There are no known compatibility issues with SPSS and AMOS 20. Users that have difficulty transitioning files from version 19 to version 20 or have other questions concerning legacy support may contact aflind2@uky.edu.
First uninstall the Version 19 software, if necessary. Then go to http://download.uky.edu. You will need to log in with your LinkBlue ID and password.
Search for “SPSS 20” or “AMOS 20” to find the respective software download entry. Users who do not have Version 20 installed already may download the software installation package by clicking the “download” link. (When prompted, run the installation program.)
All users must click the link that says: “Users must register annually to obtain the license information. Click here." Complete the registration form. You should receive an email with licensing instructions.
If you have any difficulty, please contact the UKIT helpdesk at (859) 218-4357 or helpdesk@uky.edu.
