Free Painting and Hot Chocolate to Warm Up Your Winter

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Feb. 15, 2017) — Last year the University of Kentucky Student Activities Board (SAB) brought Coffee and Canvas to campus as a fun, alcohol-free twist on Painting and Cocktails. Join SAB 5 p.m. tomorrow (Thursday), Feb. 16, in the Creative Arts LLP (Living Learning Program) Studio in Holmes Hall for Cocoa and Canvases. Students can come out to sip on hot chocolate, eat local donuts and create a masterpiece. Seats are limited so be sure to arrive early.

Students will follow the lead of an instructor from the Wine and Canvas company and enjoy donuts and hot chocolate from North Lime Donuts. The class is taught in a paint-by-number method that is designed for all levels of artists, from beginners upward.

“This was one of the first [SAB] Cultural Arts events I ever attended and I absolutely loved it”, said Julia Nickle, SAB director of Cultural Arts. “I hope students appreciate the new twist as it spices up a fun SAB tradition.”

There will be limited seating, so students are encouraged to arrive early.

SAB brings more than 60 entertaining, educational and enriching programs that are reflective of contemporary issues and trends to the University of Kentucky annually. These programs are designed to enhance the college experience for students, faculty, staff and the greater Lexington community.
