Gatton College to Host One Year MBA Open House Oct. 19
LEXINGTON, Ky. (Sept. 19, 2017) — The University of Kentucky's Gatton College of Business and Economics will be hosting a One Year MBA Open House event beginning 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 19, in the new $65 million Gatton College of Business and Economics building on campus. The event will be open to all students, majors and young professionals interested in learning more about the full-time accelerated One Year MBA program, along with each of the dual degree MBA options.
The teaching philosophy and curriculum is positioned for both business and non-business students including academic backgrounds in areas such as engineering, communications, STEM, agriculture, arts and sciences, as well as business. The One Year MBA experience includes new elective course options, professional certifications, team competitions and the built-in internship program called Project Connect.
At 51 credit hours, the cross-disciplinary curriculum includes classes in marketing, management and finance, as well as more technical business courses such as quantitative analysis, operations management (supply chain), marketing research, global management and data analysis. Students will also obtain valuable "soft skills" in areas of critical thinking, negotiations, presentations, communications and problem-solving which are critical for career advancement and leadership.
