Got Something to Say? Here’s Your Chance!

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Oct. 13, 2010) – This is your open invitation to rant and rave about things that tick you off. Soapbox Day will be in the free speech area behind the Student Center on Thursday, Oct. 14 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. This event is sponsored by the Student Activities Board (SAB).

There will be a soapbox (literally) where you can take your turn to let your voice be heard and opinions made public. It can be anything from how much you hate a particular fashion trend to something political, it’s up to you.

Jill Baranowski, director of SAB’s Engaging Issues Committee, said, “this event is near the time of the mayoral election, so I am hoping that students will be vocal about the election along with whatever is irking them at the time. Listening to people that are passionate about things they dislike can be really entertaining.”

This event is free.
