Lexington, Ky. (Sept. 13, 2010) - It is time once again to enjoy the thoughts and lessons of a professor’s chosen lecture topic. Students, head on over to the W.T. Young Library auditorium at 7 p.m. on Sept. 13, to hear UK Gatton College of Business and Economics professor Gordon Holbein deliver a free lecture for the Final Word series. This event is sponsored by the Student Activities Board (SAB).

Holbein is a senior lecturer in the School of Management and also lectures on strategy and leadership. His lecture, "Soft Skills for a Hard World: The Keys to Personal Power” will be interesting to students from both inside and outside of the Gatton College. This will be the second Final Word lecture of the semester.

“Students should attend the Final Word lectures because professors have great stories to tell and advice to share,” said Jill Baranowski, director of Engaging Issues for SAB. “It helps to bring the faculty down to a more personal level and it’s enjoyable to hear what they have to say.”

Students and general public are encouraged to attend this free event.
