SAB Brings Slam Poetry Workshop to Campus

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Sept. 7, 2017) – The Student Activities Board will bring a slam poetry/song writing workshop to campus at 7 p.m. today, Thursday, Sept. 7, in the Holmes Hall Creative Arts Studio. This will be a small workshop and will be catered by North Lime Coffee and Donuts. During this event, students will be able to further develop their writing talents with the help of facilitator Graham Hackett.

“Students will be able to learn the basics and give their presentations at the actual event,” said Clayton Knight, director of concerts. “They can also take their new found skills to Cats Den Underground's slam poetry event later in September, and the Black Student Union's slam poetry contest later in the semester!”
