Mitchell Foundation to Host Leadership Seminar
LEXINGTON, Ky. (Feb. 11, 2016) — University of Kentucky Women’s Basketball Coach Matthew Mitchell and his foundation, the Mitchell Family Foundation (MFF), are bringing renowned leadership expert John C. Maxwell to the campus and Lexington community 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 22 in Memorial Coliseum.
The MFF brought Maxwell to Lexington in 2014 for a sold-out event of more than 1,300 people and is excited to grow the attendance in the event's new location. During the lecture, Mitchell and Maxwell will present an engaging, two-part lecture on the importance of character and leadership.
"Once I began engaging Maxwell's material and lessons into my own personal life, the trajectory of the University of Kentucky Women's Basketball program truly sky-rocketed,” Coach Mitchell said. “We look forward to sharing this priceless material and opportunity with the entire community."
MFF launched in 2014 with a mission of cultivating strong character in the community through its events and programming. Some of the programs and nonprofit organizations it supports include anti-virus youth education, God’s Pantry, The Nest, Lighthouse Ministries and M.A.D.E. (Motivated All Day Everyday).
Tickets are currently on sale for $15 at www.mitchellfamily-foundation.org. All students will be granted free access with a valid student ID. For questions regarding the event, contact Samantha Bowie at samantha.l.bowie@gmail.com.
