LEXINGTON, Ky. (Oct. 4, 2010) -- Fast-casual “better burger” restaurant Smashburger is pleased to announce their community partnership with Kentucky Children’s Hospital. Beginning Oct. 5, and continuing the first Tuesday of every month, 10 percent of all proceeds from the CenterCourt Smashburger location will be donated to Kentucky Children’s Hospital.

The promotional partnership begins Oct. 5 with an appearance by Kentucky Children’s Hospital mascot “Stitches”. The 10 percent monthly donation will be an ongoing promotion to assure a substantial donation to Kentucky Children’s Hospital.

“Smashburger works hard to become involved in local communities,” says Smashburger Founder Tom Ryan. “We are proud to give to an organization like Kentucky Children’s Hospital that provides quality care to Lexington residents and fully support their mission.”

“We are excited to partner with a worthy cause and outstanding partner as part of our community outreach,” says Jim Phelps, Bluegrass Burgers co-owner.

"Both our community and our employees have enjoyed supporting such partnerships with local establishments that support our mission to improve the lives and health of Kentucky's children," said J. Timothy Bricker, M.D., Physician-in-Chief, Kentucky Children's Hospital.
